Join us for an evening of Family Fun and Art on March 10th!
MAKENA MCLAUGHLIN, an 11 year-old artist, fell in love with painting when she was introduced to the work of Ted DeGrazia in the third grade. Since then she has had work on the DeGrazia Gallery’s Facebook page, earned honors in a statewide art contest for children, and presented a painting to the Navajo Horse Whisperer Jay Begaye.
She says, “Painting is my passion. I feel like I am meant to do it.” She attributes her intense focus and emotion to being on the autism spectrum. In her art, she tries to share her feelings and perception of the world.
Makena will be sharing her art and inspiration with us all on Saturday, March 10th, beginning at 5:00pm. Join us for this family friendly night of art and fellowship. A selection of her artwork will be on display at Brewd during the weeks preceding the show.
